Hacked earphones
This past few days I've been asking the people on Twitter for suggestions on good in-ear earphones especially ones with a built-in mic so I can use it with my iPhone.
I was under the impression that my Sennheiser pair was missing until my wife told me this morning that she had them next to the home stereo.
Since I haven't been able to find a decent in ear + mic aside from Apple's which is pricier here than anywhere else in the world, I decided to do a bit of hacking.
All I had to do was cut off a bit of the plastic that was holding the metal plug so it would fit in all the way into the iPhone jack.
It's not ideal but it works and it saved me about $90.
